First Day of School for 2012

On Monday, August 27, the Evangelism Committee had free cookies and lemonade for students at Gibsonville Elementary School as they were getting out of school.  The parents who were picking up the students also enjoyed the refreshments!  This was the first day of school in the new school year!

When our group registered for Spiritus, we placed our name in a hat for us to have the chance to go sailing later in the weekend.  They pulled our name out of the hat, and we were allowed to go sailing in a sailboat.  Here are some pictures:

Stop Hunger Now pictures

We raised $2500 during Lent for Stop Hunger Now. After Easter, we celebrated the Resurrection on April 28, 2012 by packaging 10,000 meals. To learn more about Stop Hunger Now, visit their website at www.stophungernow.org . Below are some pictures taken as we were packaging the food.

Confirmation Retreat 2012

Five Confirmands attended the Confirmation Retreat at Lake Junaluska March 23-25, 2012.

Drive-Thru Prayer Station

We have been having a Drive-Thru Prayer Station periodically on weekdays. If you are interested in helping with this ministry, contact the church office or Claude Little. So far, each of the four times we have done this, we have had someone stop to ask for prayer.
